My comments relate to the text more so then the DVD, mainly due to personal learning preference.
The structure of the book provides a step by step process which is logical and can be used as a chronological checklist for Tender preparation. The beauty of the structure is that you can read section by section in any order depending on the point of the tender process.
The language is clear concise and not over complicated to make it an easy and informative read. Clear examples are provided to demonstrate the points or lessons which is a key factor in any proposal.
For Bid managers with a team of Tender Writers this would make a good text for the introduction of new staff into the team.
If a team can implement the learnings from this text as a bare minimum, as each Tender is prepared, this would provide a solid platform for growth and innovation in tender teams as this takes care of all the basic requirements and allows room for innovation and strategy development that can make the difference in a Tender. Eg following the prescribed tasks from this text should be business as usual. Once business as usual is achieved then the challenge is to identify the differentiators for each bid.
It would be great if this type of learning was rolled into University curricular as each professional will be involved in some way in the tender process.

I found the Better Tenders Package provides a concise and easy to follow guide to win tender submissions. While the Better Tenders Package provides astute learnings to improve tender submissions, it also gives an insight into what the client is looking for when releasing tender briefs. I am also impressed by the business communication skills outlined in the video, which assists you as the tenderer, to negotiate and finalise a successful tender.
